Our activities

Aid to the Church in Need (ACN) is a Pontifical Foundation whose aim is to help the Church wherever it is persecuted, oppressed or in material need. ACN focuses on supporting local churches, especially in those countries where the Church cannot support itself or, if it does, only with great difficulty. Our response to requests for assistance from around the world is determined by the pastoral nature of the project.

Our Mission & Vision

Mission

Aid to the Church in Need assists Christians wherever they are persecuted, oppressed or have pastoral needs through information, prayer and charity.

Vision

A world in which Christianity flourishes everywhere.

Nuestros Valores

  1. Christian faith and love

The foundation of all our initiatives is Christian faith and love, as well as our loyalty to the Holy Father and to the Doctrine and institutions of the Roman Catholic Church.

  1. Prayer

Daily prayer, individually or in community, animates our work and strengthens our evangelizing spirit. It impels us to assist those who suffer because of their loyalty to Christ and his Church, on whose prayer we too depend.

  1. Pastoral Commitment

We strive to proclaim the Gospel “in season and out of season” (2 Tim 4:2), responding to the challenges of the times in which we live. To this end, we enlist the commitment of our benefactors, whose contributions we use to finance pastoral projects.

  1. Unity

Conceived as a “bridge of love” from the beginning, ACN is at the service of unity and reconciliation. By striving for communion, we build a bridge between benefactors and beneficiaries through prayer, information and by passing on our gratitude.

  1. Service

We carry out our mission through humble and selfless service, listening to the needs of our members. We aspire to be a personal source of comfort and strength to our beneficiaries and benefactors.

  1. Open Spirit

Through our support of the Universal Church, we promote respectful dialogue among the world’s different cultures. We ourselves live this open spirit in our many encounters within and outside the Catholic Church.

  1. Responsibility

We manage the funds we receive with the utmost professionalism, seeking efficiency and evaluating the impact both on the activities we finance and on our internal organization. We work with transparency, presenting our sources, use and results of the funds received.

  1. Trust

Our unwavering trust in Divine Providence guides us into the future and enables us to place our trust in others and obtain theirs. Consecrated to Our Lady of Fatima, we are moved by hope and trust.
