Make this Christmas special by offering support to a seminarian.

They need your help to finish their priestly formation. Donate here.

Currently, there are 75 young men studying for the priesthood in Ghazir, Lebanon. They visit hospitals, nursing homes, prisons and organize summer camps for young people. For the Catholic Church in Lebanon, they are like a breath of hope for the Christians in the country.

They need your help to finish their priestly formation

Transport

A motorcycle, a boat, a bike, even a donkey, are helpful transports to preach the word of God to the farthest places. The future priests need vehicles for their pastoral work:  visiting the sick, taking care of the poor families, assisting lonely elderly, teaching the catechism, etc.

Formation and basic needs

Each vocation is very precious, so it must be treated with care, especially in the most poor countries. This implies covering expenses of lodging and basic needs during their time in the seminary; giving them access to scholarships and aids for their formation; covering the expenses of the instructors and financing courses and spiritual retreats for their spiritual formation and pastoral commitment.

Infrastructure

The future priests must live in buildings  with the proper conditions for their academic and spiritual formation. The seminaries must face a process of reconstruction and conservation, the structures must have well conditioned bedrooms and all this requires higher expenses that the dioceses or congregations can not afford.

“Who helps a future priest with his formation, builds an altar in his grave”

Future priests that develop their vocation among bombs and poverty

Most of the future priests complete their formation in the seminars in Africa, Asia, Latin America and East Europe. In these places they may experience situations of war, poverty, injustice and persecution. That’s why it is important that these young seminarians have an excellent formation that provides them with a strong spirit and endurance to make it through the moments of tribulation, so they can accompany and serve their people with mercy and bravery.

It’s important for them to know that someone generous like you is supporting them during their vocational journey. Only with your support this vocation to priesthood will not be lost due to financial difficulties. Thanks to you, more seminary students all around the world will become priesthood holders and living images of Jesuschrist in the places where people suffer the most due to poverty, violence, wars and religious persecutions.

These seminarians need you to complete their formation and become better shepherds in the most needy places in the world.

¿Can you help us to take care of them?

“I wanted to join the army forces, but God called me to serve his people”.

In the diocese of Pankshin, the seminarians face hunger and constant violence. But they have decided to remain faithful to their vocation no matter what.

“It was the best decision I made”. This young seminarian dreams of being a priest in a country that suffers because of war and violence..

“Some communities only receive the visit of a priest once a year. I want to be a priest to take the sacraments and the Gospel to these people that need it“.

In a country where youth flees to seek a better life, these brave young men have decided to remain and to become priests to serve their country.

He who helps in the formation of a priest participates in the building of the Kingdom of God and in the salvation of souls.
