“In the wake of the assaults on churches, devastation reigns… the altars, the statues—everything reduced to ruins. Words fail to convey the extent of the sacrilege inflicted upon the images of Jesus and Mary.”
August 16th, 2023, marked an exceptionally dark day for the Pakistani Church. A mob comprising hundreds of fervent Islamist extremists orchestrated one of the most brutal onslaughts of anti-Christian persecution ever witnessed in the country. They pelted stones and ignited flames that consumed nearly 20 churches and hundreds of Christian family homes. Tombs were desecrated, Bibles profaned, and crosses defiled. Through mosque loudspeakers, the local populace was incited to «take up arms against» the Christians. The catalyst? A blasphemy allegation against a Christian janitor accused of desecrating the Quran and disparaging the Islamic prophet.
Terrified, the city’s Christians fled en masse, seeking refuge amidst the sugar cane fields. Upon returning the next day, those who dared discovered the remnants of their lives, reduced to ashes even down to the last light bulb.

They urgently require our aid and beseech our compassion:
«I beseech your prayers and issue an impassioned plea for unity and support for the families traumatized by this heinous atrocity.»

Your donation will be used to fund aid projects for Christians in Pakistan.
Christianity constitutes a mere 2% of Pakistan’s populace, leaving them marginalized and relegated to inferior status due to their faith. They’re consigned to the most menial roles in society merely for being Christians, all to provide for their families,
Discrimination, blasphemy accusations, abductions of women and girls, and coerced conversions to Islam plague their daily existence. Their lives are imperiled by those intent on eradicating Christianity from the nation.
Perpetually living under threat, they experience neglect and vulnerability in the face of authority. Daily, they confront this harsh reality with unwavering courage, upholding their beliefs. But they need our support to stand resolute in their faith and secure Christianity’s future in Pakistan.
«I invite you all, together with ACN, to do a work of mercy in every part of the world.»
