“Where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I in the midst of them” (Matthew 18:20). The Holy Mass is the most sublime encounter between heaven and earth, a perfect offering of intercession and hope. In this time of great need, we invite you to join us in praying for peace and reconciliation in Venezuela through the celebration of a Mass.
The Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches us that “the Eucharist is Christ’s paschal sacrifice, his work of salvation accomplished by death and resurrection” (CCC, 1362). To offer Mass is to trust in Christ’s redemptive power, imploring his grace so that peace may prevail in Venezuela.
Father Angel Colmenares lives on the outskirts of Caracas, in a poor neighborhood where hunger and desolation prevail. But, as the priest himself says, “the Church in Venezuela suffers with its people, because they can take away our material goods, but they cannot take away our dignity”.
From his parish, Father Angel materially helps families who no longer have anything to survive and provides them with the sacraments, which are the only thing that gives them strength to survive in a country so hostile to Christians.
Every year, Ayuda a la Iglesia que Sufre supports thousands of parishes, like Father Ángel’s, that stand by the side of the Catholic people who suffer and are persecuted for their faith.
Father Isaac celebrates Sunday Mass in the Diocese of Mendi, Papua New Guinea.
With your offering, you not only participate in the mission of praying for Venezuela, but you also support more than 40,000 priests around the world. These priests, many of them in Venezuela, carry out their pastoral work in difficult conditions, sustaining communities with the comfort and strength of the sacraments.
Each donation is a seed of hope that blossoms in the hands of our priests. By offering a Mass you contribute to the support of the priests and the spiritual strengthening of the dioceses of Venezuela.
Let us follow the Holy Father’s call to be instruments of peace. Offer a Mass today and join thousands of faithful in this prayer chain for Venezuela. Together we can be a light of hope in the midst of adversity.
«I invite you all, together with ACN, to do a work of mercy in every part of the world.»
