The Church has a mother’s heart

May is the month in which we celebrate life and unconditional love.
When we think of a mother, we think of refuge, nourishment, the hand that heals wounds, and the embrace that drives away fear.

That perfect love lives in the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of the Church and our mother, who never abandons her children at the foot of the cross.

Today, that same love is made present through thousands of religious sisters and missionaries who, in the most hostile and forgotten corners of the world, become mothers to those who have lost everything.

They renounce a family of their own to embrace the children the world has left behind: the displaced, the sick, and those who suffer in silence.

But to continue caring for, protecting, and sustaining lives… they need you.

Where pain reigns, the Church decides to remain.

In places marked by terrorism in Nigeria, war in Sudan, or extreme poverty in the Amazon, the logical temptation would be to flee. But our priests and religious choose to remain.

They carry the cross of fear and deprivation alongside their people, comforting, feeding, and keeping alive the hope of the Resurrection. They are the “Simone of Cyrene” of the poorest. But that cross is too heavy to carry alone.

“A tree without water dries up.” The mission needs you.

“Without your support, the mission dries up.”

— Missionary in South Sudan

A missionary in South Sudan told us clearly: “Without your support, the mission dries up.” Faith and dedication are immense, but they are not enough to buy fuel, repair the parish vehicle, or have a plate of food after an exhausting day.

They care for souls, but they need you to care for them. By supporting a missionary with your donation, you become the air that the mission breathes. You ensure that the Eucharist, comfort, and help continue to reach every corner.

Transform your penance into Love.

Lent is a time of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving. This year, give your sacrifice a concrete face. May what you give up become bread, medicine, or transportation for a priest who risks his life for the Gospel. There is no greater act of faith than helping to sustain the Body of Christ where it hurts most. Make your offering a true act of redemption.

Prayer

Join your prayer to that of thousands of missionaries who, in the midst of hardship, lift their voices for peace, comfort, and hope.

Commitment

Every contribution becomes food for the hungry, relief for the sick, and support for entire communities striving to move forward.

Donation

Thanks to your help, missionaries can continue accompanying, protecting, and bringing hope to those living in abandonment.

“Every donation is a seed of hope that blossoms in forgotten communities. It is not just material help—it is the living presence of Christ in the places where it is needed most.”
