May it be a guiding light for the most vulnerable.

Bring hope to the most vulnerable.

We often imagine Costa Rica as a paradise of peace and lush nature. However, beyond that postcard image lies a silent and painful reality, marked by inequality, exclusion, and violence.

Amid this situation, the Catholic Church does not stand idly by; it walks alongside the forgotten and those who have lost hope. Today we invite you to support the priests, religious sisters, and laypeople who are dedicating their lives to serving those on the margins.

Three wonderful stories of love and healing.

Your support is the driving force behind the spread of the Gospel in this Central American country. Learn how you can make a difference.

The Road to the Outskirts

Father Javier Hernández Quirós and the Claretian Missionaries need a Toyota Hilux 4x4 pickup truck. This is the only vehicle that will allow them to cross mountains and navigate hard-to-reach roads—on trips lasting up to 7 hours—to bring pastoral and social assistance to rural and indigenous communities.

A sanctuary of peace for those who are fleeing

At Hogar Misericordia in San José, Sister Nelly Ortega Espinal and her congregation are taking in hundreds of migrants. They need to renovate a 50-square-meter space with ceramic tiles and a glass door to block out outside noise and create a true chapel: a refuge where souls broken by exile can heal.

Sowing Hope in Society

In response to the crisis of values, the Bishop of Alajuela has requested 500 copies of the book DOCAT. These books will educate young people and laypeople in the Social Doctrine of the Church, transforming them into agents of peace and leaders of a more just society.

Their generosity is the answer to their prayers.

Don’t let distance, noise, or a lack of resources dim the light of the Gospel in Costa Rica. Through your generosity, kilometers are transformed into acts of love. It is a direct seed of hope for the future of a country crying out for help and comfort.
