Help Spread the Word of God Worldwide
Millions of people around the world lack access to the Word of God. In many areas where wars have deeply affected people’s lives, the path to inner peace often begins with reconciliation through forgiveness. The Church, in many cases, plays a vital role in promoting this reconciliation, and spiritual reading is a fundamental tool in this process.
Through the translation, printing, and distribution of catechetical materials, we can make this possible. Aid to the Church in Need supports the printing, mailing, and distribution of Bibles, religious literature, and Catholic magazines and publications in countries in need.
A shining example of this is our most popular book, “God Speaks to His Children,” known worldwide as the “Children’s Bible.” To date, more than 50 million copies have been published in 157 languages across 140 countries. In many schools in needy countries, such as Eritrea, the Children’s Bible is sometimes the only reading material available to young learners.
In Nigeria, Christians represent 46.2% of the population, but they face systemic discrimination, violence, and persecution every day. The situation has become increasingly unlivable for them because of the terrorist group Boko Haram, whose insurgency has displaced nearly 2.9 million people. Also, many priests have been kidnapped or murdered and the Christian population is being treated as second-class citizens.

Translation
In many countries in need, people lack religious books in their own language or dialect. With your help, we can provide them with this essential material.
Printing and distribution
The printing and distribution of these religious books are of utmost importance in countries plagued by poverty and persecution, as they provide solace and foster faith, peace, and reconciliation.
Youcat
Many children and young people in countries in need will only have one book in their lives, and you can make it the Children’s Bible or the Youcat.
