Thousands of families have lost everything. The Church remains open, offering shelter, food, and hope in the midst of the conflict.
The situation in Lebanon has reached a critical point. The recent escalation of the conflict in the Middle East has triggered an unprecedented humanitarian crisis, with more than a million people displaced and entire communities destroyed. The attacks are affecting the entire population. Today, there is no safe place left in the country. Amid this reality, the Church remains one of the few open refuges for those who have lost everything.
Amid the bombings, the Church has not closed its doors. Parishes, monasteries, and religious centers have become shelters for displaced people, food distribution centers, and places of comfort and prayer.
Its presence is not only humanitarian; it is also spiritual: it keeps hope alive for thousands of families.
Amid the escalating violence, Pope Leo XIV has spoken out clearly:
“Lay down your weapons—remember that you are brothers!”
The Holy Father condemned the violence plaguing the Middle East and reminded everyone that God cannot be used to justify war.
He also expressed his solidarity with the Christians suffering in the region, many of whom are unable to fully practice their faith because of the conflict.
His message is clear:
Peace is not optional.
It is urgent.
And today, that urgency has a face: the families of Lebanon.
You can help us support the Church in Lebanon by extending your compassion to those in need. Christians will need both spiritual and material support as they face yet another challenge in what has been a difficult and now terrifying existence in their beloved country.
Food and shelter: For those who have lost their homes.
Medical care: For the injured and sick.
Educational support: To help children continue their studies despite the difficulties.
Spiritual care: To provide comfort and hope during these difficult times.
Your support enables the Church to remain present and stand by those who have lost everything.
«I invite you all, together with ACN, to do a work of mercy in every part of the world.»
