Help for religious sisters in Argentina: A new vehicle for the Schönstatt Sisters

Providing help for religious sisters in Argentina has become a reality for the Schönstatt Sisters of Mary in the city of Florencio Varela. Their local convent serves as a home for 17 retired and sick sisters who, after a lifetime of selfless service to God and neighbor, are now receiving the loving care they deserve in the evening of their lives.

The urgent need for help for religious sisters in Argentina

Transportation was a major obstacle for the community until recently, as the elderly sisters required frequent trips of 30 km each way to reach the nearest hospital for specialized medical care. The aging vehicle owned by the sisters was in very poor condition, suffering from serious transmission damage that compromised its reliability.

Sister Bernardita Guagliano turned to ACN to explain why a new car was essential:

“A reliable vehicle is no luxury, but a necessity, if we are to provide properly for their well-being and quality of life. A reliable and well running vehicle will enable them to receive the urgent medical care they need without putting their health or safety at risk”.

A mission accomplished through generosity

Benefactors responded to this appeal with great generosity, providing 12,566 Euros to purchase the urgently needed vehicle. The sisters are overjoyed with the arrival of the car, which significantly eases the burden of medical transport for the most infirm members of the congregation.

“We would like to express our profound gratitude to you for your generous support. Thanks to this practical aid our sisters can now more easily get the treatment they need. We pray every day for you and for all our benefactors who have made this possible”.
